MMA Acrylic Basecoats
MMA Acrylic Basecoats are matched to Bath Ware and Spa OEM colors, they are formulated and designed to be applied by air brush at 35 psi. They require proper reduction with MMA compatible thinners for optimum spray performance. This coating is an air dry system and does not require a hardener. It requires MMA Clear Top Coat sprayed as a complete system. There is no exception. The Clear Coat brings UV, stain resistance, and hardness to the application. Acrylic Bath and Hot Tubs colors are generally produced from products from two sheet manufacturers, Lucite(R) or Aristech. It is helpful to know which manufacturer supplied the OEM manufacturer, and their color description for the product.
Standard Bath Colors:
There are hundreds of bathware manufacturers and bathtub colors. Therefore, MTP has defined a list of standard colors. This list includes standard products for acrylic and gel coat bathware click here.
Standard Spa Colors:
Most spas are produced from sheets made by one of the two manufacturers as well. Standard color offerings change from year to year based on trends in color and effects. MTP offers current standard colors, but also offers obsolete colors. Please provide as much color information as possible when placing your order. Basecoats are available in ALL acrylic sheet & spa/bath ware manufacturer colors. Please specify manufacturer color, solid, pearl or marble when ordering.
